چکیده

Extrusion-based three-dimensional (3D) printing has recently become a major field that provides significant benefits, as it is principally employed to fabricate 3D scaffolds, exploiting soft biomaterials. The hydrogel-based ink requires crucial properties, such printability and fidelity the appropriate structure. However, typically uses trial error techniques achieve structure, which wastes material time. This study multiphysics simulation predicate potential of chitosan hydrogel desirable biomaterial used in tissue engineering. flow was presumed be laminar two-phased simulations. Furthermore, impact different velocities viscosities extrusion-based investigated. Moreover, model validation printed investigated confirm outcomes for high-quality printing. effect settings studied during experimental test. results obtained from experiments provide information deciding optimum parameters chitosan-based with high quality.

3D Printing: 3D Printing of Highly Stretchable and Tough Hydrogels into Complex, Cellularized Structures.

X. Zhao and co-workers develop on page 4035 a new biocompatible hydrogel system that is extremely tough and stretchable and can be 3D printed into complex structures, such as the multilayer mesh shown. Cells encapsulated in the tough and printable hydrogel maintain high viability. 3D-printed structures of the tough hydrogel can sustain high mechanical loads and deformations.

Process Monitoring of Extrusion Based 3D Printing via Laser Scanning

Extrusion based 3D Printing (E3DP) is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) technique that extrudes thermoplastic polymer in order to build up components using a layerwise approach. Hereby, AM typically requires long production times in comparison to mass production processes such as Injection Molding. Failures during the AM process are often only noticed after build completion and frequently lead to ...

Optimising low molecular weight hydrogels for automated 3D printing.

Hydrogels prepared from low molecular weight gelators (LMWGs) are formed as a result of hierarchical intermolecular interactions between gelators to form fibres, and then further interactions between the self-assembled fibres via physical entanglements, as well as potential branching points. These interactions can allow hydrogels to recover quickly after a high shear rate has been applied. Ther...
